2020: Start of a cloud service of printing in Europe within the bizhub Evolution platform

Konica Minolta announced on August 3, 2020 start of a global cloud service of printing in Europe. It will allow the company to manage all printing infrastructure of the clients: MFP, servers, drivers, applications and networks. Service is integrated into a cloud platform of bizhub Evolution.

The bizhub Evolution platform provides access to functions of printing without the need for software installation. The user can print documents from any devices – for example, the computer or the smartphone; using a list of applications.

The platform gives opportunities of simple management by means of the interface from which the user selects not the application, and specific function. Updates are provided by Konica Minolta, and with a growth of requirements the customer can address to app store of Evolution Store.

This cloud service of printing of Konica Minolta will be suitable as for the large companies which want to focus on key problems and development of innovations, and for small and medium business with limited IT resources. Considerable initial investments into printing infrastructure are not required for the companies: they can pay only for services which use in practice. As a result the printing environment of the company flexibly adapts to business needs.

The cloud service will help Konica Minolta to support infrastructure of customers and to ensure their safety according to the last standards, including the General regulations on data protection of GDRP. Also the Follow-me function is responsible for security: she guarantees that the printed materials will not fall into hands to strangers.

In addition, Konica Minolta will propose to customers solutions on use of Universal Print service of Microsoft – including in integration with bizhub Evolution. The companies can use Universal Print for management of the printing infrastructure through cloud services of Microsoft. The platform works based on Microsoft Azure and is available on Microsoft 365 subscription. At deployment with compatible printers she does not demand local infrastructure; and on incompatible printers it can be set by means of connectors.
