In Uzbekistan production COVID overalls with silver ions is started

At the beginning of August, 2020 in Uzbekistan production COVID overalls with silver ions is started. The Uztekstilprom association reported about it.

Production of overalls from cotton HeiQ Viroblock fabric, capable to protect physicians from a coronavirus of new type, there began the Uzbek textile company Cotton Road within the agreement with the German CHT GmbH and Swiss Switzerland AG.

Overalls are executed of the anti-virus and antimicrobic fabric impregnated with structure with microparticles of ions of silver in a complex with a special vesicular component. It is noted that ions of silver attract opposite to the charged viruses and instantly contact the sulfuric groups, further the vesicular component destroys a virus.

According to developers, the new technology allows within a short period of time (5-10 minutes) actively to destroy pathogenic selections of SARS-CoV-2, self-cleaning on clothes that does such overalls by more effective in comparison with now in use.

Start of production COVID overalls with silver ions in Uzbekistan

The producer listed several advantages of cotton overalls in comparison with overalls from polymers, in particular from spunbond:

• thanks to property of air permeability such overalls, when preserving protective properties, ensure long comfortable functioning, withdrawal of a surplus heat;
• provide economy of financial resources more than by 5-7 times at the expense of a possibility of reusable use as cost reusable (the allowing not less 15-fold use) overalls exceeds the cost of one-time only twice;
• are made from domestic raw materials.

Uztekstilprom emphasized that this innovative technology is developed in Switzerland especially for production of active anti-virus fabrics.^[1]
