2020: Implementation of posts of the automated control and diagnostics of the rolling stock on the railroad

On August 6, 2020 the Transtelecom company reported that it within implementation of an investment program of JSC "Russian Railways" completed the construction of the integrated posts of the automated acceptance and diagnostics of the rolling stock (PPSS) in four switchyards of the October, West Siberian and Far East railroads.

The technology of the integrated posts is development of JSC NIIAS and is intended for process automation of maintenance and commercial inspection of the rolling stock.

In each such post the whole equipment is implemented. The Tekhnovizor system allows to control technical condition of nodes of the rolling stock. Other technologies help to conduct monitoring of dimensions, geometry and defects of a surface of driving of wheels, to control car weight, to determine the load shift facts. The integrated posts operate with information from video cameras, ultrasonic and infrared sensors, read out RFID tags, use the equipment of Internet of Things on wireless LPWAN technology with low power consumption.

Consolidation and application of data retrieveds is performed using a software platform of management of an infrastructure complex and services for divisions and clients of JSC "Russian Railways".

Creation of the integrated posts of the automated acceptance and diagnostics of the rolling stock in switchyards allows to provide on the basis of deserted technologies with relevant correct data in real time all divisions using information on the rolling stock in the course of work.

Transtelecom Company as JSC Russian Railways affiliated enterprise and large federal provider of digital services, actively participates in process of digitalization of rail transportation. Implementation of the integrated posts allows to increase efficiency of data collection and processing and to reduce idle time of the rolling stock in the park of arrival by 30% that directly promotes growth of commercial benefit of carrier, - the CEO of JSC Transtelecom Company Roman Kravtsov commented.

The main part of works in the project progress was conducted in the conditions of a difficult epidemiological situation. Despite it, harmonious team work of all project participants allowed to implement it in full and in the terms approved by the scheduled plan.

For August, 2020 the works on commissioning of the integrated posts of the automated acceptance and diagnostics of the rolling stock in switchyards St. Petersburg Moscow Sorting, Input, Moskovka and Khabarovsk are completed by II.
