2020: Systematizing the complex sales cycle based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales

Awara IT has completed the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales (a solution in Microsoft Dynamics 365) for the oilfield service company NewTech Services (NewTech Services).

With Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales, it was decided to organize the sales process, building a single workflow for all areas and regions of activity in two stages: implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and optimize the work on agreeing on tender documentation as part of the sales process.

At the first stage, the Awara IT team presented the standard functionality of CRM, taking into account the customer's business processes in the field of oil and gas services. Classic processes are automated - working with customers, maintaining transactions, tracking the status of the sales process.

The situation with the second part of the work was much more complicated. It was necessary to optimize the processes of coordination of tenders by chains of interaction and coordination, to implement complex forms and management of the customer procurement process.

The peculiarity of the project was to create your own tool for controlling access to role documentation.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales cloud system is implemented and actively used. Key tendering processes have been set up and automated. Developed own solution for storage of volumetric tender documentation with delimited access to it in accordance with user roles. Documents are stored in Sharepoint, but you cannot access them for all users. Switching between multiple applications to work with a document is also inconvenient. Therefore, Awara IT has proposed a solution that, at the role level in CRM, allows the user to see in Sharepoint only the documents that he needs to work.

In the context of complex intersegment and interregional team sales of the B2B, the standard Follow Accounts mechanism did not meet all the customer's needs. In addition to the standard functionality of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales, a flexible module "User settings and notification subscription" was developed, which includes:

  • Configure auto-substitution of the most frequently used parameters when creating new records in the system.
  • Set up flexible subscription to notifications from the system for various events by business area, region of activity, and customer groups.

The customer is pleased with the results and puts the project into commercial operation.
