In August, 2020 it became known of large-scale digital transformation of the Indian government. At once several ministries pass to cloud services and attract for this purpose the large IT companies.

So, the Central department of civil engineering (Central Public Works Department, CPWD) which in India is engaged in construction of buildings, stadiums, laboratories, roads, etc., began to cooperate with the Indian company Tech Mahindra and also American Amazon and the German SAP for creation of uniform technology infrastructure where it will integrate state services and different services.

All our systems will be automatic. A one click of the button we will be able to obtain given and account on what occurs through the whole country — the director of resource planning of the enterprises in CPWD Satyendra Gupta told the edition.

Within project implementation the solution for data processing of SAP HANA was software implementation of the SaaS model, and resources for calculations and information storage were unrolled in a cloud of Amazon Web Services (AWS). All third-party tools for performance improvement of systems, testing, management and monitoring were received by department as PaaS-service from AWS, the sales director in a public sector of Tech Mahindra company Gautam Chatterjee reported.

Gupta said that successful start of a cloud system for the Central department of civil engineering will have a national scope. Masshtabiruyemst and the possibility of transfer of functions on other fields of activity "opens a window" for other Indian ministries which can implement similar ERP systems and automate the processes, he added.[1]
