2020: Announcement of a complex

On August 13, 2020 Ruselectronics announced development of the equipment intended for high-speed wireless data transmission on long distances. Under the name "Steppe" in holding NPP Radiosvyaz is engaged in development of technology.

The complex includes access point which is integrated with a land communications infrastructure and works as a repeater. For connection of remote users to network the subscriber devices operating as mobile modems are used. The equipment maintains extreme temperatures from-50 to +65 degrees Celsius and is protected from influence of rainfall, the producer claims.

In Russia the equipment for wireless data transmission on 80 km is created

"Steppe" can be used for creation of networks with architecture "point-to-point" and as "point multipoint". In the equipment the noise stability of communication due to use of technologies of the pseudorandom reorganization of operating frequency (PROF) and cognitive radio is stated. The equipment is provided in three different modifications for work in the ranges of 2.1-2.5 GHz, 5.6-6.4 GHz and 10.1-10.7 GHz, is compatible to the omnidirectional, directed (HEADLIGHTS), sector antennas and also antennas with AIPA (active implemented phased array). According to developers, the equipment provides wireless data transmission at a speed up to 50 Mbps at distance to 80 km.

The new complex allows to create the high-speed trusted protected networks for transfer of large volumes of information in the territories located far from a communications infrastructure — the industrial director of a radio-electronic complex of Rostec state corporation  (it includes Ruselectronics) Sergey Sakhnenko said.

According to him, the equipment will find application when holding rescue operations, construction works, on remote industrial facilities. The equipment does not require cable laying that reduces costs for start of a system in comparison with other methods of connection, he added.
