2020: The announcement of Tigertriever - the device for removal of blood clots

In the middle of August, 2020 the Israeli company Rapid Medical began sales of the Tigertriever XL device for removal of large blood clots from intra cranial vessels during the first hours of an ischemic stroke for prevention of further defeats. The company calls the line of stentriverami devices as in appearance and function they are similar to stents, but are intended for removal of blood clots from an organism.

In the whole Rapid Medical releases a line of stentriver for vessels of the different sizes, from Tigertriever XL to Tigertriever 13. The CEO of Rapid Medical Ronen Eckhouse reminded that stentriver of a line of TIGERTRIEVER - unique devices which can adapt to diameter of a vessel. The Tigertriever XL device can be used for removal of blood clots with a diameter of 9 mm and 53 mm long by means of a standard microcatheter with an inside diameter of 0.02. It is the biggest and the longest of the available stentriver. The least stentriver of Tigertriever 13 with marking of CE can enter arteries up to 1 mm wide, it can be used at occlusion of disteel departments of vessels.

Tigertriever XL is very important addition to the market of treatment of an ischemic stroke, - doctor Sebastian Fischer, the senior intervention neuroradiologist of university hospital of Bochum (Germany) where the stentriver of Tigertriever XL was for the first time used for treatment of the patient with an ischemic stroke considers. - For the first time we received the tool with the configured size intended for extraction of large blood clots. Potentially this device can reduce the number of the passes necessary for removal of large clots, for example, in an internal carotid.[1]
