Fund of perspective researches (Cisco Catalyst Series of switches)

For implementation of the tasks upgrade of the wireless local computer network of Fund, thanks to installation of the high-performance controller of BLVS Cisco 5508 was carried out. This controller was the logical center of network, thanks to it it was succeeded to implement the centralized authentication of users, to provide seamless roaming between access points.

As a core of network VSS pair was set switches Cisco Catalyst 4500X. Data switches represented the high-performance core of network performing functions of routing of all data streams.

Also within the project the cluster of firewalls of the next generation of Cisco ASA 5515 (Next Generation Firewall) with functionality of an intrusion prevention based on the module Cisco Firepower was set and configured. The device performed functions of URL filtering, application filtering, protection of services by the module of an intrusion prevention of IPS and anti-virus check of the loaded files the module AMP.

In addition to the firewall the Cisco Web Security Appliance proxy server was implemented. The proxy server allowed to protect corporate users during the work with Internet resources. For protection of mail the implementing solution Cisco Email Security Appliance is performed.

For authentication at access to guest Wi-Fi the authentication system of WNAM was implemented. This system allows to implement scenarios of authentication using registration confirmation by the SMS.

In the project progress the following works were carried out:

• Preproject inspection of an object;
• Development of technical documentation (Techno detail design);
• Start and setup of the new equipment;
• Migration of all devices on new network;
• Carrying out acceptance tests.
