2020: The announcement of a single platform for creation of car-sharing, insurance and repair services
In the middle of August, 2020 Toyota Motor Corporation and Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced the new project within the cooperation and provided a single platform for creation car-sharing, insurance and repair services on the basis of services of AWS.
It is about Toyota Mobility Services Platform (MSPF) - an ecosystem which helps engineers of Toyota to unroll and manage mobile services of new generation for security of drivers and passengers and also comfort and convenience of the Toyota vehicles connected to cloud computing.
According to developers, MSPF relies on reliability and scalability of global infrastructure of AWS and also on experience of development of AWS Professional Services to solve a problem of processing and data analysis within the world park of the connected Toyota vehicles. MSPF and its application programming interfaces (API) will allow Toyota to collect data from the connected vehicles and to apply them to design and development of new contextual services, such as sharing of cars and lease with a full range of services and also new corporate and consumer services, such as as pro-active notifications on maintenance of vehicles and insurance on the basis of behavior of the driver.
Cooperation between Toyota and AWS extends to all enterprises Toyota and will help to create a basis for the optimized and safe data exchange within all company and to accelerate transition to CASE technologies (Connected, Autonomous/Automated, Shared and Electric). The Chief information security officer and the executive production director of Toyota Motor Corporation Shigeki Tomoyama noted that cooperation increase of the company with AWS will become important advantage of Toyota upon transition of the whole world to technologies of new generation.[1]
