2020: The announcement of the radio-transmitting device for application as a part of GMSSB

The Ruselectronics holding announced on August 20, 2020 State Corporation Rostec development of the domestic radio-transmitting device for application as a part of the Global sea communication system at disaster (GMSSB). The equipment is intended for equipment of new coastal radio engineering signal offices, including on the Northern Sea Route and also is capable to replace the import equipment installed on objects of GMSSB of the Russian Federation.

The device has a capacity of 1000 W and can be used in all sea navigation areas to the organization of a radio communication in PV/KV range with sea, fishery vessels and also the vessels "river sea". The equipment transfers receipt acknowledgments of distress signals, urgency and security, keeps in radio and wireless contact, a narrow-band bukvopechataniye and the digital selective call (DSC).

The equipment is developed by Scientific Research Institute Neptun entering into Ruselectronics holding.

"The radio-transmitting device became the first in a line of the means of communication for infrastructure of merchant fleet planned by our enterprise to development. The equipment conforms to requirements of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and GMSSB. Certification tests of a product are going to be completed until the end of 2020. In the long term Scientific Research Institute Neptun is ready to release to 40 sets annually", - the director of Scientific Research Institute Neptun Mikhail Vinokur said.
