2020: Installation of diesel power station ED400-T400-2RN of Scania/Mecc Alte for back supply

On August 20, 2020 the Scania company announced that the pump station of fire extinguishing in the warehouse complex "Mikhaylovsky Settlement" situated near Moscow is insured now by the diesel power station (DPS) of ED400-T400-2RN of Scania/Mecc Alte for back supply. It by the individual order of developer Meridian LLC was designed and made by Diesel Company, the DES only producer based on engines of Scania in Russia.

The warehouse of class A with a total area more than 81 thousand sq.m is located in 20 km from MKAD near Novoryazanskoye Highway. Recently it was upgraded, expanded, and more powerful source of back power supply was necessary for the ceiling spinklerny fire extinguishing system pumping water under big pressure.

Earlier as reserve DES of the 250 kW Russian production was used, but it appeared insufficiently for sure start of pumps. Therefore diesel power station of container type with the engine of Scania with a rated power of 400 kW was selected and set.

"the Spinklerny fire extinguishing system turns on automatically if the fire warning works. It happens infrequently, and it is important to provide the guaranteed start of water pumps after idle time, most often long. That is why reserve power supply using the reliable additional power source of sufficient power and high extent of automation is necessary", – Evgeny Poletayev, the head of the service center "Diesel Company" explained.

Diesel power station with the engine of Scania was made by the individual order of the Meridian enterprise. Previously specialists of customer service of Diesel Company executed calculations for determination of necessary power of the station taking into account safety factor.

"DES is intended for back supply of pumps of fire extinguishing therefore at source selection of power supply such parameters as non-failure operation, high power and high-quality warranty service were important. Four companies from DES on engines of different producers participated in the tender. The solution "Diesel Companies" with the engine of Scania completely conformed to our requirements", – the CEO of Meridian LLC Igor Kalinin told.

Shefmontazhnye and commissioning on connection of the ready station in a warehouse complex were carried out with additional accession of the automatic input of a reserve (AIR) that provides self-starting of DES in case of emergency shutdown of the electric power. DES passed all tests on an object under starting currents: three times in a row automatically displaid in an operating mode the pump via the device of smooth start-up.

The expanded guarantee of the manufacturing plant for 24 months is provided for the maximum reliability on diesel power station that exceeds standard guaranty period twice.
