2020: Launch of the ePRO24 service

On August 21, 2020, EKF announced the launch of a ePRO24 service for remote control and management of electrics in a house, apartment, office, retail or production premises. With it, you can turn on and off electrical equipment and track the state of the power grid from anywhere in the world.

EKF launches service to remotely monitor and manage electrics in home, apartment and office

As you know, modern distribution cabinets contain significantly more equipment than 10 years ago. Inside the electrical board are not only standard electricity meters, circuit breakers and RCDs. Depending on the design, it may be equipped with SPDs, various timers and relays, such as devices for voltage control, room lighting control, or warm floor temperature.

The application shows, among other things, data on the state of the protective equipment

To control the variety of equipment in the electrical board, EKF has developed a PRO24 - a controller connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi or GSM, and a web application for it.

"The service allows you to manage electricity consumers in real time by clicking on the corresponding icons. So, if you forget to turn off the light when going to work, the network can be turned off on the way directly from your mobile phone, "said Dmitry Kucherov, director of strategic development at EKF.

The application also shows data on the state of the protective equipment, for example, whether the machines, RCD and USDP are turned on right now. If they are turned off, then we can conclude that some kind of accident has occurred, and promptly react to this.

One controller makes it possible to control the operation of four electrical points (for example, light bulbs, sockets, a stove and a washing machine) and track the state of six protective devices. With expansion modules, the number of managed points can be increased to 36, and monitored devices can be increased to 54.

In order to make it easier for electricians, assemblers, builders to cope with the design of electrical panels, EKF has created an online calculator SmartBox. It helps to select devices based on the individual features of a residential, commercial or industrial facility. On the controller tab, you can include ePRO24 in the shield design. Based on the specified parameters, the program draws up a diagram and a specification that can be downloaded and used when assembling the cabinet.

The ePRO24 controllers are modular, installed on a DIN rail, have a flip relay and optical isolation of inputs. For easy installation, the devices are equipped with removable terminals.
