Rostec and the Novgorod region will implement jointly complete digital solutions for management of the region

2020: The agreement on implementation of IT for digitalization of management of the region, transport, education, health care and housing and public utilities

The State Corporation Rostec will implement in the Novgorod region information technologies for digitalization of management of the region, city transport, education, health care and housing and public utilities. Also the state corporation will take part in creation and development of the innovation scientific and technology center "Intelligent Electronics — Valdai". The relevant agreement was signed on August 23, 2020. Signatures under the document were appended by the governor of the Novgorod region Andrey Nikitin and the head of Rostec Sergey Chemezov.

The agreement on cooperation provides formation in the region on the basis of technology developments of State corporation of the innovation digital infrastructure necessary for accumulation of industrial, innovation and economic capacity of the area.

The parties also agreed about cooperation in creation and development of the innovation scientific and technology center "Intelligent Electronics — Valdai" which project of creation was developed by the leadership of the Novgorod region in cooperation with NOVGU, partner universities and the enterprises of electronic industry. Activity of the Center will be directed to development, promotion and commercialization of application studies for creation of biomedical, digital, ultraprecise, diagnostic and rehabilitation hardware-software electronic monitoring systems, the forecast and decision making for medicine, defense and industrial, fuel and energy complexes, rural and forestry.

"The idea to create the innovation scientific and technology center got approval of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in the region. With direct support of the enterprises of a radio-electronic complex of Rostec it can become the driver of the innovative hi-tech development not only the region, but also country in general and also one of catalysts for diversification of production on defense industry enterprises. We already acquired experience of successful interaction with State corporation - based on the Novgorod state university the Engineering center of radio-electronic prototyping which in cooperation with industrial partners conducts scientific research in the field of radio electronics is created", - the governor of the Novgorod region Andrey Nikitin noted.

Among developments of Rostec which are going to be implemented in the region – systems for digitalization of transport, education, health care and housing and public utilities, increase in energy efficiency of infrastructure and also complexes of photovideo fixing, weight and dimensional control, ecomonitoring, data protection, the automated jobs of doctors, the medical equipment including intended for counteraction of distribution of COVID-19, and many other things.

"The Novgorod region intensively develops and implements advanced technologies in the most different spheres. Rostec is capable to give to the region full support in development of this direction. In State corporation extensive competences on implementation of digital technologies to the urban environment are saved up, the extensive pool of developments which can be applied as separately, and as a part of complete solutions which cover the whole industries of regional economy is created. The signed agreement will allow us to interact effectively in projects of digitalization of the region, to solve the tasks set by the president within priority national projects. We are sure, new technologies will increase quality, comfort and security of life of the population of the Novgorod region. I will note also that we are going to involve in implementation of joint projects as much as possible our enterprises located in the territory of the area that will undoubtedly be reflected in economy of the region and its investment attractiveness", – the head of State Corporation Rostec Sergey Chemezov reported.

Rostec and region also agreed about carrying out collaboration in involvement of strategic investors in the field of high technologies, the organization of financing of investment projects, development of new financial instruments for their implementation. In addition signed agreement provides coordination of actions for implementation in production of advanced technologies which will allow to increase competitiveness of domestic developments of hi-tech products, to reduce terms and cost of its creation.
