2023: Cloud Access
For the first time in Russia, public access to the domestic quantum computer through the cloud is open. This project was implemented by a team of physicists from the Russian Quantum Center (RCC) and FIAN named after P.N. Lebedev RAS. The RCC told about this in early April 2023.
A group of experts from the NTI Foundation demonstrated a cloud interface for interacting with the created processor, launched quantum algorithms. During the demonstration, physicists remotely launched the Grover algorithm on the processor, used to search for a value from a disordered database, as well as the Bernstein-Wazirani algorithm, used in solving the problem of finding an n-bit number. According to the results of the development of the computer, it was possible to increase the accuracy of one-bit operations up to 90%, two-bit operations - up to 80%. Today, the team is working on testing a new class - variation quantum algorithms that are of great interest for prototyping applied problems from the fields of chemistry, optimization and machine learning.
"The software and hardware complex developed within the framework of the project is unique for Russia - it is the only processor with a configured cloud interface that is capable of operating a qubit register," said Vadim Medvedev, General Director of the NTI Foundation. According to him, the result of the project represents a high scientific potential for the development of the Russian quantum computing industry.
We plan to scale the ion quantum processor and in the future integrate our software into the cloud platform developed as part of the Roadmap for the Development of Quantum Computing. This will significantly expand its functionality due to the ability to work with curdy algorithms, - said the head of the scientific group "Quantum Information Technologies" Alexei Fedorov.[1] |
2020: Computer Creation Information
On August 24, 2020, it became known about the implementation in Russia of two programs for creating a quantum computer with cloud access and sensor trusted systems. The projects were discussed at the Digital Economy ANO site as part of the consideration of new leading research centers (PERSONS).
FACE "Quantum computing, universal quantum computers, ion-based quantum computers, quantum algorithms and quantum software," created on the basis of ICCT, presented an experimental sample of an ion quantum computer and a cloud access platform to it. It is planned to create a layout of the system by the end of 2020, and a ready-made test version with the ability to access from the cloud - in 2020.
FACE "Trusted Sensor Systems," launched on the basis of the "National Research University" Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology, "presented a project to create a scalable trusted platform for processing sensory information. The development is aimed at introducing the industrial Internet of Things in priority sectors of the economy and social sphere.
The cloud platform is designed to automate the interaction of existing digital platforms for managing technical systems by collecting and processing sensory information. Messages from various sensors are integrated with the cloud platform and transmitted to third-party IT systems.
The platform can be integrated with external domestic automated equipment management systems at industrial enterprises. Its developers attributed the rapid digitization of measurement results and a high level of information protection to other advantages of the product. Testing and development of the solution in real conditions should take place before 2022. A scalable trusted platform for collecting and processing sensory information will be created and implemented at Rosatom[2]
