Rostec and Chelyabinsk region will implement "smart" technologies in region infrastructure

2020: The agreement on development of digital technologies in the region

The Ruselectronics holding of State Corporation Rostec and Chelyabinsk region will be engaged in development of digital technologies in the region. The relevant agreement was signed on August 24, 2020.

Cooperation of the parties will be directed to increase in level of digitalization of infrastructure, comfort and security of the urban environment, energy efficiency of municipal economy. Signatures under the document were appended by the industrial director of a radio-electronic complex of State Corporation Rostec Sergey Sakhnenko and the governor of Chelyabinsk region Alexey Teksler.

"Implementation of digital technologies for life it is really important for Chelyabinsk region. We actively work with Ruselectronics holding, and the signed agreement will become one more important step in gain of our cooperation. In Chelyabinsk region the enterprise with big history works, the radio plant "Weeds" based on which we with Vega concern opened recently a demo center of smart technologies which can be used for creation of the "smart" cities", − the governor of Chelyabinsk region Alexey Teksler noted.

Within the agreement the structure of Rostec and Chelyabinsk region are going to implement in the region of technology of communication, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, robotics, new design methods and engineering in various sectors of the economy. In the territory of the area also creation of pilot zones for testing of digital solutions is planned.

"The administration of Chelyabinsk region shows the interest in implementation in the territory of the region of digital technologies for increase in comfort and security of the urban environment. Our enterprises are ready to propose solutions for digitalization of education, health care, housing and public utilities, transport and municipal management which will promote improvement of quality of city infrastructure and also to increase in investment attractiveness of the region", − Sergey Sakhnenko said.
