2020: The announcement of a system for the automatic parking from Bosch and Ford

At the end of August, 2020 the Ford company announced cooperation with Bosch within which the companies created technology of automatic parkings of the car. A system allows the car freely maneuver and park in parking construction without participation driver.

The demonstration project passes in one of garages of Bedrock company in Detroit will also last until the end of September. In it are used the connected test Ford Escape cars which can exchange data with the sensors of Bosch installed in a garage. This the combination of technologies of the help to the driver and sensors gives to tested to cars an opportunity to find blank spaces for the parking and park without intervention of the person, without forcing down objects and people on the way.

The automatic system of the parking includes electronic control wheel, transmission, braking and acceleration. Management happens through Wi-Fi connection. Thanks to this technology drivers can leave from the cars in the designated place, and then just to use the application to start process of the automatic parking. They are also can use the application to call the cabs back in the specified place when it is time for them to leave. It is also known that the application also pays the parking.

Though special infrastructure is necessary for system operation of the autoparking, it does not mean that it can be used only at the equipment of new parkings. Sensors of Bosch can be installed backdating in old buildings and constructions.
