2020: Detention on a charge of fraud

At the end of August, 2020 became about detention of Russian Alexander Spitsyn accused of fraud. He together and his expected accomplices Igor Zhirnov and Grigory Baskakov issued themselves for the staff of the company, employed the American citizens for dummy work and through them cashed false checks.

RIA Novosti with reference to court documents reports about it, Americans, working at home, had to cash the checks sent them and send money to suspects by mail. Actually checks were false, and banks required from victims to return money. One of the victims had to give more than $25 thousand.

FBI  detected and arrested a number of accounts addressed to Spitsyn in the American banks. According to law enforcement authorities, through them not less than $700 thousand were washed. At the same time, according to the investigation, money was transferred abroad by the amounts which are not exceeding $10,000 for transaction. Thereby malefactors avoided checks.

The agency also writes that earlier arrested one of accomplices — Baskakova. It occurred after at the end of spring of 2020 he received eight sendings with money from the FBI agent. The last represented the victim of swindlers. In documents of court there is a warrant for the arrest and the second accomplice Spitsyn — Zhirnov, but whether he was detained, it is not clear so far. Alexander Spitsyn was delayed in the USA at once on arrival.[1]

As the materials placed in the database of court of the Northern district of the American State of Dzhordzhiya, Spitsyn testify is a citizen Russia who arrived in the United States on August 21, 2020. Spitsyn repeatedly visited the USA since 2017. According to materials, Spitsyn in the USA kept accounts in banks Bank of America Citi JP Morgan Chase, Santander Bank, TD Bank and Wells Fargo.
