2020: Payoneer: the world sector of streaming grew by 45%

Since the beginning of introduction of quarantine measures (March, 2020) the world sector of streaming grew by 45%. In particular, in the middle of March, 2020 the number of the viewers of YouTube Gaming grew by 15%, Twitch – for 10%. It became known on August 31, 2020.

The Payoneer company published a large-scale research of live-streaming in which analysts studied how the situation with a coronavirus was reflected in the industry. The interest of the company in the sphere of live-streaming is connected with growth of volumes of cooperation with steamers and strimingovy platforms as one of the high-growth industries.

To make a complete picture, Payoneer polled 200 streamers from around the world. Data retrieveds allow to understand how the quarantine was reflected in their income and what trends for the industry of live-broadcastings appear.

According to Research and Marketers, so assessment of the strimingovy market from 2016 to 2027 here will change. In the 2016th year the market of broadcastings was estimated at $30.29 billion, taking into account its rapid growth already to 2021 its costs will approach $70.05 billion, i.e. will grow more than twice. The trend of active development will remain further: to the 2027th it is worth expecting jump to $184.3 billion.

Many users consider live-streams as an earnings method. Besides, during isolation for some broadcastings became the main source of income. 38% of streamers are sure that their income will increase in the period of a pandemic. Whereas 62% consider that in the period of a lokdaun income will decrease or will remain at the previous level.

Whatever serious was the threat of a long quarantine, it, nevertheless, will end. 62% of respondents expect that their income will grow after the termination of a pandemic. 27% believe that the situation will not change. And only 11% consider that their earnings will decrease. It says about rather optimistic forecast of the future of live-broadcastings.

In conclusion of Payoneer noted that for the period pandemics the live-streaming industry significantly grew. The industry develops, there are different formats and trends which take attention of millions of audience. To business and business owners to remain on the roll, once you plunge into the sphere of live-streaming and to study, it can be applied to the projects. Live-broadcastings proved to be as some of the most effective communication tools within a lokdaun.
