Rostec and Rostelecom will create a uniform digital circuit for domestic aircraft industry

2020: Plans of creation of a uniform digital circuit for domestic aircraft industry

On September 2, 2020 Rostelecom announced plans of creation of a uniform digital circuit for domestic aircraft industry together with Rostec.

The uniform digital circuit will allow to increase management efficiency, design processes, production and an after-sale service of aircrafts, aviation units and component parts. The relevant agreement was signed by the CEO of NCI Konstantin Solodukhin and the president of Rostelecom Mikhail Oseevsky. Signing took place during the meeting with the management of Rostec in which the industrial director of an aviation cluster Anatoly Serdyukov and the industrial director of a radio-electronic complex Sergey Sakhnenko also participated.

Project objective — creation of a common information space, the unified protected ICT infrastructure of the enterprises of an aviation cluster of Rostec, implementation of uniform approaches in the field of processing, storages and data transmissions, hardware and the software of the enterprises of the aviation industry, providing the aircraft-building companies with necessary computing powers. Creation of a uniform digital circuit is intended to increase efficiency of industry companies, to accelerate terms of creation and an output to the market of aircrafts, to improve quality of service maintenance of the aircraft equipment.

The key aircraft-building companies of Russia are a part of an aviation cluster of Rostec: OAK, Helicopters of Russia, UEC, KRET, Tekhnodinamika. These are tens of the enterprises, everyone with own computing infrastructure and the principles of IT maintenance of business processes. The project is designed to unify these approaches, to construct a unified digital medium with great opportunities, access to computing powers of Rostelecom, the high level of cyber defense, convenient for all selectors and producers of the aircraft equipment — the industrial director of an aviation cluster of Rostec Anatoly Serdyukov told.

In the project the domestic equipment made by the enterprises of Rostec, in particular, servers, the automated jobs, storage systems will be used. All objects will be connected to the single protected corporate network that will provide the centralized access to information services and will facilitate information transfer between the enterprises.

Formation of uniform information and telecommunication infrastructure is one of trends for the large integrated structures which also Rostec is among. It gives the chance to unify approaches and solutions for increase in efficiency of interaction between the enterprises and qualities of management. Implementation of the domestic equipment will ensure safety of data and will increase information security at the enterprises of the industry. It is sure, consolidation of efforts of two large players of the Russian market will allow to perform this process in short terms — the president of PJSC Rostelecom Mikhail Oseevsky noted.

According to the document Rostelecom will organize work of cloud services, will provide state corporations resources of network of the geodistributed data centers (DPC) for the high-loaded applications and difficult mathematical calculations and also will provide necessary control, security and service support of all information and telecommunication infrastructure.
