2020: The announcement of MYKEEPiN - blockchain technology for an input of buyers in shops without cashiers

At the end of August, 2020 the Korean blockchain - the startup of Coinplug announced the application for confirmation of the identity of MYKEEPiN. With its help users can visit shops without cashiers.

The solution MYKEEPiN is result of cooperation of a startup of Coinplug, the supported SBI, HP Retail and also shops without personnel, with CU Box company which specializes in development of the biometric systems and solutions for security of confidential data.

The blockchain began to be used for an input of buyers in shops without cashiers

According to Korea Times, in connection with development of technologies and increase in minimum wage, the round-the-clock shops without personnel became an everyday occurrence in Korea since their emergence in 2017. For an input in shops without cashiers, buyers, as a rule, should be identified using credit cards or CCTV. Thanks to Coinplug now clients can enter into shop using the MYKEEPiN application which uses DID technology and a public blockchain of Metadium which was provided to Coinplug in March, 2020 for identification.

Coinplug recognizes that COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic considerably changed mankind life in the requirement plan to contact to people at accomplishment of routine affairs. The command a blockchain startup considers that MYKEEPiN will allow the population to avoid unnecessary contacts, reducing risk of infection with a coronavirus.

The startup also claims that its application provides users with the "excellent" security level, minimizing risk of date leak, thefts when placing shops without cashiers and also allows to reduce costs for labor power.

Before MYKEEPiN Coinplug start also worked on the DID solution for the city of Busan in South Korea. Cooperation with a startup allowed the authorities to start the platform for public services, available through mobile application. The city of Busan confirmed convenience and reliability of development to identification.[1]
