At the beginning of September, 2020 in Britain it was announced tenders for 800 million pounds sterling ($1 billion) for updating of IT infrastructure of national network of health care and the social help. Crown Commercial Services (CCS) issued the notification and looks for about 12 suppliers for providing IT services, including DevOps, digital determination and data management.
CCS intends to sign the agreement on providing IT services for health care which will be used by NHS Digital and other state bodies of health care and social security for providing digital data and support services, said in the notification. |
Twelve suppliers who won the contract will work with NHS Digital (IT department of the British medical authorities) and also with other bodies of public sector in the field of the social help. NHS Digital needs the companies, "with which the division will be able to develop the strategic relations during rather long time frame".
DevOps will be required for ensuring support of the available services, but CCS also looks for partners in data management, "first of all specializing in creation and service of assets of data, data transfer from one system in another and also on the analysis and the reporting under such information resources". Also CCS searches for developers, "capable to provide all stages from development before project implementation" and also the companies which offer services of beta testing of services and/or their entry into the market. These contractors will work with all infrastructure of NHS Digital, to develop new products and data services.
Contracts are expected four years, and final date of submission of requests - on September 24, 2020.[1]
