2020: The announcement of LG Wing - the smartphone with the rotating display

On September 14, 2020 provided to LG Electronics the unusual smartphone — the Wing model allocated with the rotating display. the 3.9-inch additional G-OLED screen with the resolution of 1240 x 1080 pixels turns by 90 degrees, forming letter "T" with the main OLED panel which size is 6.8 inches on diagonal, and resolution capability — 2460 x 1080 pixels.

The auxiliary screen can be used, for example, for control of the camera and reproduction of music, text typing and prompt reply to messages in the messenger during watching video on YouTube.

As the producer claims, the turning gear is capable to sustain 200,000 cycles of turns. Besides, the smartphone is equipped the system of loops with a hydraulic damper which reduces load of the mechanism at turn of the main screen.
