2020: Submission of the Personalize application for the MFP

Konica Minolta developed the Personalize application for multi-function printers. It helps to personalize the MFP control panel according to individual preferences of users. It reduces operating time with devices. It became known on September 16, 2020.

Functions and the Personalize settings can be selected according to tasks of specific employees and their working schedule. Everyone has the individual interface which becomes available at authentication on the MFP. Thus, the application allows to consider needs of the certain user.

For example, functions which the employee uses most often can be moved forward on the main screen, and functions which are not used – are placed on other screens. Also users can load images for the interface and change language. It is especially relevant for the international organizations.

As a rule, one multi-function printer can use several people at once. It leads to the fact that the method of adjusting of its interface is focused on satisfaction of needs of all users, but not on individual working tasks. Some functions available on a control panel can suit some users, and others – only to distract, interfere them with work. In addition, Konica Minolta developed a cloud service of Personalize Follow-you Service. It allows to get access to a personal user interface on any device – that becomes important when in the company the MFP big park or mobile printing is developed.

The Personalize application is free. Addition of Personalize Follow-you Service is licensed by the number of users and requires a subscription to one of three tariff plans: "Starting", Business and Corporate.

The "starting" plan offers basic functions of personalisation and is suitable for representatives of small business with a limited number of users and devices. On the Business rate additional functions of personalisation for users appear. The "corporate" plan is expanded: individual support is provided to the companies, and administrators receive more control.
