ActiveCloud implemented the project on migration of IT infrastructure of FNKTs FMBA of Russia

On September 16, 2020 the ActiveCloud company announced completion of migration of IT infrastructure of FNKTs FMBA of Russia in a private cloud in real time. As a result the customer received uninterrupted operation of operation of all ICs, network communication between the local platform and a private cloud and also the adjusted periodic backup and data protection.
The federal scientific clinical center of specialized types of medical care and medical technologies of FMBA of Russia − one of the largest medical institutions of Moscow, integrates a multi-profile hospital, the consulting and diagnostic center, research institutes and departments of post-degree education. Since 2017 the branch of the Center is provided in the Crimea in the city of Yalta by the Multi-profile Republican Medical Center (MPRMC) which main objective − rendering hi-tech medical care (VTMP) to inhabitants of the peninsula in the direction cardiovascular surgery and traumatology. In 2020 all Yalta health care − stationary and out-patient medical the help for adults and children was transferred to department of FNKTs FMBA of Russia.
Prior to cooperation with cloud provider of ActiveCloud FNKTs FMBA of Russia placed infrastructure on own local platform. At the time of search of the contractor there was a need to take out the most capacious and ICs, constantly growing, critical for loss, in the private protected cloud and to provide uninterrupted data exchange between it and own platform. Besides, in connection with expansion of network, flexible management was required by capacities of IT.
The ActiveCloud command developed for implementation of a task the individual project within which optimal hardware components were selected, DWH, resources of cloud virtualization, means of cybersecurity, service of backuping and archiving, security of internal and external channels and the plan of migration in real time with zero data loss and without idle times is developed.
For data transfer it was in real time used by Carbonite Move software, providing including functionality of the automated return on the initial platform and logical data protection during migration. Using this software equipment rooms and virtual servers of the customer on the local platform continuously replicated all changes on the new virtual servers deployed in cloud infrastructure. In the set timepoint at the command of the customer in a private cloud there was an immediate deployment of productive servers which assumed loading. At the same time zero data loss was provided, and a downtime of information services is minimized.
Proceeding from a key task of the customer (to organize smooth operation without loss), DWH includes several independent servers of data storage which work in the Active/Active mode. Each server of storage is connected to two independent inputs of power supply providing reservation of the power necessary for operation of the server. Thus, at failure of one disk array of data storage, a downtime of work tends to zero.
As the virtualization platform VMware vSphere hypervisor with an orkestrator of VMware vCenter and the platform of management of the cloud VMware vCloud Director resources was selected. For operational condition monitoring of components of a private cloud it was selected by software also from an ecosystem of VMware: vRealize Operations Manager.
Level of data storage is virtualized using software of VMware of vSAN. Backup on the selected storage system within a cloud or in an external repository of storage based on Veeam Backup and Replication technologies is used for additional data protection within cloud infrastructure.
Besides, for increase in data protection the information access of the customer and a control panel a cloud service is possible only after successful passing of authentication.
For ensuring uninterrupted network connectivity of the local platform of the customer and a private cloud the redundant selected optical link functioning at the L2 level, capacity of 1 Gbps is used. The greatest possible cross-network delay between the local platform of the customer and a private cloud will make 5 ms.
In a project deliverable we received the desirable level of security and uninterrupted operation, and now we have a possibility of flexible and fast accumulation of capacities of DPC without service interruption. The complex project which we implemented "turnkey" for FNKTs FMBA of Russia was of great importance for us. Its implementation fell on pandemic peak when the scientific clinical center in few days was converted on acceptance of the infected patients. At this time on us double responsibility laid down: it was especially important that IT infrastructure worked without idle times and did not "fall".
