Within the stock "With Care to Education" the cloud provider of IT-GRAD (enters into Group of MTS) provided to several universities of Kazakhstan resources in a cloud.

In particular, virtual capacities received KGPU of U. Sultangazin and the Kazakh national pedagogical university of a name of Abay.

Use of cloud services gives the chance to increase fault tolerance and to provide availability of any critical systems. The educational systems — not an exception. Higher education institutions and schools can transfer the majority of processes to a cloud. Among them:

  • holding remote seminars and lectures;
  • certifications and testing of pupils;
  • organization of access to library stocks and internal publications of educational institution;
  • the organization of online storage of methodical materials in formats of the presentations, video lectures.

Specialists of KGPU already had internal experience of interaction with remote technologies of training. In 2012 at the university the Moodle and BigBlueButton systems were implemented. However with increase in loading as a result of transition to completely remote model of training of power of the server of the university ceased to provide sufficient high-speed performance. In particular, it concerned services of e-mail, an electronic recording system of requests and file services.

Within the stock of IT-GRAD provided KGPU of U. Sultangazin the virtual machine in a public segment.

Thanks to transfer in a cloud of online occupations, webinars and the BigBlueButton conferences, i.e. the most resource-intensive services, performance significantly grew.

According to the university, the CPU and RAM parameters of the selected machine do not go beyond permissible values. At average loading (22 simultaneous occupations, 22 teachers and about 280 students) the outbound traffic rises to 50mb/page. According to technical specialists of KGU, the virtual machine without any significant difficulties is capable to work at> 500 entering connections.
