"Modulbank" uses DWH of Infinidat for service of the majority of business systems

Infinidat, the Israeli producer of the innovation storage systems entering in "Magic a quadrant for main systems of data storage" (Magic Quadrant for Primary Storage) of Gartner of 2019 and Modulbank, digital bank for entrepreneurs and bank from more than 200,000 clients for October, 2020 which works only with small and medium business summed up the results of the cooperation starting in 2018. It became known on October 5, 2020. Use of DWH from Infinidat allowed Modulbank to improve indicators the speed of entry into the market (Time to Market) and total cost of ownership (TSO).

Arrays of Infinidat are on sale on model of program expansion: we paid volume 170 TB on each array, but upon volume 250 TB is set. If we have a need for expansion of volume of storage, then it is enough to increase the license under an extra space. Such model allows to reduce time for logistics, does not require involvement of engineers, and, above all simplifies documentary operations in procurement process. Especially we want to note high reliability and availability of DWH from Infinidat, also as a first and attentive line support from vendor — Ilya Titov, the managing director of Modulbank, the leader of the IT direction says.

Transfer of object storage for documents under S3 protocol from the old platform on InfiniBox NFS and etcd with MinIO was one of the last interesting projects. Storage systems from Infinidat initially include all possible functionality. It allowed Modulbank to organize the solution for document storage under S3 protocol without expenses on additional licenses or implementations of separate software solutions. MinIO requires support of NLM for NFS and as in 2019 Infinidat added it and updated the software on DWH of bank, specialists of Modulbank made the decision on project implementation "The organization of storage of files on MinIO on S3" on this technology.
