As it became known at the beginning of October, 2020, the Moscow Department of Transport will buy electrobuses from Arrival company, the created ex-deputy minister Mintsifra (then department was called the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications) Denis Sverdlov. The head Maxim Liksutov told about it.
According to him, this project is interesting to the capital mayor's office as it has "the accurate, approved by the government plan for transition to electric transport". At the same time one of terms of agreement — Arrival will place production in the territory of Russia. If it occurs, the microfactory of the company will be able to produce up to one thousand electrobuss annually. At the same time such plant can be placed in a normal warehouse and to begin production within half a year.
Moscow — one of the largest markets of electrobuss in Europe. An opportunity to place here production is potentially interesting to us. The microfactory in Moscow will be able annually to make up to 1000 modern, comfortable and hi-tech electrobuss. Besides, will provide jobs for Muscovites — it is said in the statement of Arrival. |
What buses, Moscow is going to buy from Arrival, is not specified. In June, 2020 the company provided the Arrival Bus model with zero level of emissions. It is equipped a large number of displays in salon on whom passengers will be able to look at all necessary information on a trip and stops and also to orient where the input and an exit is performed.
One of the main ideas of Arrival consists in unique technology which will allow to perform assembly of electrobuses "on places". So local microfactories, and it, as envisioned by a startup will be able to make Arrival Bus, should support local economy in different, including towns worldwide.[1]
