2020: Announcement of a smart backpack of Samsonite Konnect-i Backback
At the beginning of October, 2020 it became known that Google updated the line of smart clothes and accessories. The technology of the Google Project Jacquard project is implemented in a new smart backpack which received the name Samsonite Konnect-i Backback.
The Google Project Jacquard project was submitted in June, 2015. Provided to Google Project Jacquard two backpacks: Samsonite Konnect-i Slim and Samsonite Konnect-i Standard. Their cost is $200 and $220 respectively. In the first option the vertical zipper, in the second - horizontal is used. Both products have several pockets for storage of personal belongings, in also special department for storage of notebooks, it is suitable for 15.6-inch gadgets. Backpacks are made of water-repellent fabric, degree of protection of a shoulder strap is IP54.
Owners of backpacks can manage using gestures settings of reproduction of music, volume of sound and also notifications on calls or messages for the device connected with a backpack. Besides, using the application for management of Jacquard the user can configure acceptance and a deviation of calls and also to take a selfie. Recharge of the Jacquard Tag accumulator is performed via the USB connector.[1]
