Red OS Compatibility

Russian developers EveryTag and RED SOFT have confirmed the compatibility and correctness of the EveryTag Virtual Data Room software (EveryTag VDR software) with the operating system RED OS. The solution meets the requirements of import substitution and is designed to implement space for the safe exchange of documents and their storage. The Red Soft company announced this on December 7, 2022.

Ability to differentiate access rights

On March 15, 2022, EveryTag, a Russian developer of information security solutions, presented an updated version of one of its flagship products - EveryTag VDR (Virtual Data Room).

According to the company, the EveryTag technology is based on a patented invisible marking algorithm that allows you to create copies of the display of information for each user during any interaction (opening a document, sending it to print or to third parties by e-mail, etc.).

All decisions of the company are aimed at marking, identifying the source in case of information leakage and providing a preventive effect on counterparties and employees of the organization. The patented EveryTag technology is implemented for March 2022 in six products so that each user can choose the most suitable protection options based on needs.

One of them is EveryTag VDR. On August 13, 2021, EveryTag VDR was added to the Unified register of Russian programs for electronic computers and (databases reg. No. ON 11299, Order Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Russia No. 830 of 13.08.2021).

It can be considered as an independent product within the framework of the import substitution program, as it is able to fully reproduce and expand the functionality of foreign analogues.

EveryTag VDR is a space that works on the principle of Google.Drive or Yandex.Disk, where confidential documents are downloaded and stored, which the user can open to trusted third-party process participants for viewing, exporting or printing. All documents used in space are automatically marked with invisible labels, which allows in the event of a leak to investigate and identify the person who compromised them.

The process of working in a virtual data room is quite simple: you need to download documents and configure access to them. When exchanging with external and internal counterparties, personal marked copies of documents will be formed during each interaction. Thus, if a leak occurs, using the expertise module, it will be possible to determine the source even from a photo or screenshot of the fragment thanks to invisible marking.

EveryTag VDR allows you to:

• Store any type of documents with the ability to delimit access rights, including drawings, graphs and archives. In this case, the marking applies to the following formats:.doc,.docx,.rtf,.jpg,.png,.pdf,.tif,.tiff,.ppt,.pptx;
• Upload documents to.pdf or in the original format of the uploaded document;
• Create a folder and file structure, and if necessary, change it;
• Use two-factor authentication using SMS or one-time passwords to confirm access;
• Send documents to partners directly from the system, specifying e-mail, or provide access to documents and folders through direct general links (additionally setting the terms of the link and restrictions on actions with documents);
• Work from any device, phone or tablet, regardless of location;
• Have no restrictions on the number of copies of tagged documents (the system is able to create more than 204 trillion combinations of one page of A4 text);
• Label all documents placed in the system with a label that is invisible to the human eye and unique to each user;
• In the event of a document leak, conduct an examination and determine the source even from a photo or screenshot of the fragment.

The developers recommend using VDR to conduct critical business events: merger-acquisition transactions, audits and preparations IPO for, to work with personal information of public persons, as well as to protect intellectual property. VDR provides secure access to documents for all stakeholders, including third parties involved in transactions: lawyers bankers, auditors, experts and representatives of regulatory bodies^[1]
