2020: The announcement of Alrosa Video-Viewer - service of remote demonstration of diamonds
In October, 2020 the Russian mining company with the state participation of ALROSA announced implementation of a technology system of remote demonstration of diamonds. Service under the name Alrosa Video-Viewer allows clients to browse diamond raw materials in the remote mode.
As it is specified in the press release, ALROSA began to develop the system of remote demonstration of diamond raw materials in the spring of 2020 when because of a pandemic of a coronavirus of COVID-19 and the related restrictive measures traditional personal visits of buyers to office of the company for viewing and selection of diamonds for several months became impossible.
Result of the done work was the Alrosa Video-Viewer service using which clients have an opportunity to browse raw materials in the video conferencing mode, interacting in real time with the expert of ALROSA working with raw materials.
