SHV Energy selected global mobile connection from Orange Business Services

2020: Implementation of IoT-solutions

On October 12, 2020 it became known that the SHV Energy company selected global mobile connection from Orange Business Services for system deployment of smart telemetry and smart counters for the gas reservoirs from Europe and the USA. These solutions give the chance to optimize service quality of delivery of gas to clients worldwide. Besides, cooperation with Orange Business Services allows SHV Energy to optimize infrastructure management and to ensure security of supply of gas, having cut down at the same time expenses on fuel and having reduced the volume of emissions of a carbon dioxide gas.

As it was explained, SHV Energy will install smart sensors on gas tanks. Besides, antennas and magnetic mechanical counters of a gas rate will be installed. Each of these systems of smart telemetry uses the Orange SIM card with global roaming for data transmission in offices SHV Energy of the international Orange mobile network. Data are collected and analyzed to make sure available gas of reservoirs of clients. If smart sensors register fault or leak, warning comes to office SHV Energy. Besides, the collected information are used for optimization of delivery routes of gas that will cut down expenses on fuel.

Transition to smart accounting — it is crucial for providing qualitative delivery services of gas to our clients. With this IoT-solution of Orange Business Services we can increase flexibility, reliability and stability of our network and also to reduce influence on the environment. All this allows to provide that information will be transferred to the platform of data management SHV Energy quickly and safely.
