Cooperation in import substitution

GBU VO "Center for Information Technologies of the Volgograd Region" and the company "Akronis Infopravita" agreed on cooperation in the field of import substitution, which the latter reported on December 3, 2020.

Within the framework of the agreement, joint consultations are planned to discuss technological issues, participate in industry and specialized exhibitions and forums, deploy pilot projects based on the Russian IT solutions, their testing and other activities.

GBU VO "CIT VO" is interested in dialogue with market participants who are directly involved in the import substitution process, have their own expertise and positive work experience in other regions.

Cooperation will contribute to the program for the introduction of domestic software in the Volgograd region.

Akronis Information Protection is actively involved in the development of technological partnerships, the creation of an ecosystem of Russian software, combining efforts to make more and more technologically compatible high-quality Russian solutions available on the market and is ready to share best practices from its experience to achieve the set goals of IT development in the Volgograd region.

The signing of an agreement on cooperation and cooperation is a logical continuation of the existing good relations between organizations. In 2018, the implementation of the Acronis Data Protection backup system began in the LVA VO "CIT VO," simultaneously with the transfer of the institution's systems to another data center. For December 2020, the solution provides backup and recovery of data on the four main failover server clusters of the regional center and is planned to expand as regional information systems move to another ECU.

Implementation of Acronis Data Protection

The Akronis Information Protection solution protects the data of regional information systems of the Volgograd region. The company announced this on October 15, 2020.

The implementation of "Akronis Data Protection" began in the LIB VO "CIT VO" in 2018, simultaneously with the transfer of systems to the data center. Deployment of the solution took place gradually, as various systems moved to the emerging computing power. For October 2020, the solution provides backup and recovery of data on the four main failover server clusters of the regional center.

All work on the deployment of Akronis Data Protection was carried out by the specialists of the GBU VO CIT VO on their own. Roman Andreev recalls that at the initial stage of the project there were difficulties with the compatibility of equipment and software, however, it was possible to solve them in a short time with the help of the support service of Akronis Infoprotekta.

"During the use of Akronis Data Protection, we have noticeably updated the engineering structure of the Center," adds Roman Andreev. - I can note that none of the employees, even those of them who still did not have experience with this decision, experienced any difficulties. Product logic, system interface, settings - all elements are simple and intuitive not only to any specialist, but also to an ordinary user.

During the use of Acronis Data Protection, there were no incidents that could lead to data loss in the CIT I infrastructure. But the specialists of the GBU VO "CIT VO" could verify the reliability of the solution using other examples. So, Roman Andreev notes that the decision has repeatedly been able to show its qualities in situations where it is necessary to "roll back" a particular service on a certain date. In addition, among the important areas of use of Acronis Data Protection, he lists data migration when you need to transfer the system information array from one failover cluster of the regional data center to another. Finally, it should be noted that the solution is also used to transfer information between virtual machines during scheduled operations.

The GBU VO "CIT VO" plans to expand the use of "Akronis Data Protection." As regional information systems move to the ECU (Unified Data Center), the solution will "protect" the information that is formed in the work of each of them.
