Biography

2020: A search in the house after the beginning of the second wave of COVID-19

Within investigation of actions of the government in connection with the second wave of a coronavirus of COVID-19 on October 15, 2020 the French police carried out searches in houses of the Minister of Health Olivier Veran, the former prime minister Eduard Philipp and other authorities.

Olivier Veran is one of several current or former ministers concerning whom investigations according to complaints to the measures taken by the government for fight against COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic are conducted.

After submission of 90 complaints, in particular, for lack of protective masks and other medical equipment, the French court appointed investigation. It is known that patients, the medical personnel and also imprisoned and law enforcement agencies accuse members of the government of the country that they endanger life of people, do not provide the help to those persons who are in danger and also in involuntary manslaughter. Nine of 90 complaints were sent to the Prosecutor General's Office.

Besides, the government is accused that it too slowly unrolled large-scale testing for COVID-19 and underestimated importance of wearing masks at the beginning of a pandemic when they were in deficit and intended mainly for health workers.

Jean-Luc Reytser, the oppositional deputy of the French parliament who was hospitalized with a hard case of a coronavirus, told that he was shocked with searches.

Searches began next day after the president of France Emmanuel Macron placed a curfew on Paris and eight other cities of France to cope with the growing number of new infections. As of October 15, 2020 in France more than 33 thousand people died from COVID-19 that is the ninth in value indicator in the world.[1]
