2019: System implementation of project management of capital construction
On October 16, 2020 the Advanta company announced system implementation of project management of capital construction for mastering of fields in Russneft.
In the company it is approved and Strategy for increase in level of automation of production processes of oil and gas production is implemented. For its support to company management the single system of planning and control of carrying out design and exploration work on fields was necessary. The lack of uniform transparent processes of interaction of the head company with subsidiaries and external contractors did not allow to manage project deadlines effectively.
With respect thereto in 2018 pilot implementation of the digital Advanta platform was carried out to the companies. A system showed the high efficiency and in 2019 is put into commercial operation. For October, 2020 users of the Advanta system are 153 specialists of the company, the Khanty-Mansi branch, JSC Varyeganneft and contract design institutes.
A system is used for project management of capital construction, in particular, for maintaining a full stroke of development of the design estimates when mastering fields.
Project Objectives
- provide efficiency of maintaining and control of project development. Lower a share of the projects which came to the end with exceeding of planned dates;
- increase effective management of projects due to standardization and implementation of procedures of work planning and control of terms of their accomplishment;
- create unified information environment in the company and subsidiaries;
- raise the interoperability layer between project participants (internal and external).
Tasks
- lower a share of the projects which are not provided with initial and allowing documentation with ~ 50% up to 0%;
- reduce terms of development and approval of work Technical specifications to 30 days;
- reduce reporting terms for accomplishment of the design and exploration work (DEW) to 5 minutes.
Project Results
- On the basis of the ADVANTA platform the single system of project management of capital construction is created.
- Decomposition of a project portfolio on subsidiaries/fields is made.
- The template of the universal schedule FEAST and template of works on formation of technical projects on design is created.
- The schedule is configured and automatic collecting of the fact on implementation of PIR is started.
- Reports with visualization of the deviations and problems arising in the project progress are configured.
- In the company the report on the status FEAST is weekly made for the vice president for capital construction. From the moment of system implementation of ADVANTA the vice president browses the reporting under a project portfolio in a system.
- Reporting on design and exploration work takes 5 minutes.
- From 50% the share of the projects which are not provided with initial and allowing documentation is reduced to 0%.
- Terms of development and approval of work technical specifications were reduced to 30 days.

our company is engaged in development of fields and oil and gas production. A large number of participants is attracted to projects - it is subsidiaries and external contractors. Before implementation of project management there was an effective objective: integrate and regulate development process of documentation in one system, lead all participants to a uniform format of interaction, create the general control system of the course of design – results of activity of subsidiaries, speed and quality of work of contractors. ADVANTA helped us to solve these problems. We use a system for development of the design estimates in industrial construction – from formation of specifications and a design assignment before unloading of the project documentation after passing of Glavgosekspertiza. Before this experience use of a similar system in our company was not. We made a choice for benefit of this IT solution as the most suitable on functionality, accepted at cost, flexible and clear in management. As for results, all project participants interact in one environment, it is unimportant where the person actually is and whom is – the designer, the controller, the head. A system allows to manage terms. We see which of contractors the outsider on completion dates of works who keeps within the diagram and who goes with advancing. |
In Russneft Oil Company we implemented a system for accounting of the projects connected with design and exploration work. A system allowed the head company to keep account of annual plans of carrying out design and exploration work and to estimate progress of their execution in all subsidiaries. |
