2021: Detention on charges of falsifying financial records

In October 2021, deputy of the State Assembly of Mordovia Vladimir Gribanov was detained. He is suspected of falsifying financial accounting documents and reporting of a financial institution.

According to the Investigative Committee of Russia, a criminal case against a 61-year-old businessman and politician was initiated based on the materials of the FSB on the RM.

According to the UK, from January 2019 to August 2021, the bank's management entered in the statements provided monthly to the Central Bank of the Russian Federation inaccurate information about transactions, obligations, property and financial position of the credit institution. This led to the revocation by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation of the license from KS Bank and the appointment of an interim administration.

Investigators and FSB operatives simultaneously conducted searches at various addresses. Seized documentation is being examined. The issue of choosing a preventive measure to Vladimir Gribanov is being decided.
