2020: Start of a marketplace

On October 19, 2020 Toy Store Group (further – Group, Toy Store or Company), the retail operator of trade in children's goods in Russia and Kazakhstan, announces full-scale start of own marketplace.

In November, 2019 Toy Store announced start of the pilot version for category "Clothes and Footwear", for the test period the range of a marketplace exceeded 50 thousand trade names taking into account a size range. Nearly a year later the Company unrolled a marketplace on all categories, including clothes and footwear, toys and games, goods for newborns and pet goods. In the medium term increase in the range up to 2.4 million positions is planned. The company already began long-term cooperation with local and foreign brands.

Toy Store offers attractive terms for partner software suppliers of model 3PL, including the competitive fixed commission rate and use of the existing logistic infrastructure. For suppliers on the online platform the personal account with all necessary functions is created: creation and assortment management, analytical reporting, management of the price. The company is going to expand functionality and to implement a management system for a promoaktivnost, financial statements and operational analytics.

At the same time for clients the marketplace will become a special opportunity to purchase goods of different categories of the Russian and foreign brands. It is possible to receive the order by any convenient method: shipment at own expense or courier delivery. The loyalty program of Toy Store is completely integrated into service of a marketplace that allows to take all its advantages.

The quantity of the range is an important competitive advantage of any online store therefore full-scale start of a marketplace is one of the key directions in our strategy. We see use of the existing logistic and retail infrastructure and also low marketing and operating costs as an opportunity to implement the project is better than competitors. At the first stage we will focus on all children's categories and pet goods. Further we are going to test adjacent categories, being beyond the children's range, but considering orientation of a brand, – Maria Davydova, the CEO of Toy Store Group told.
