Dialog-1 — a digital/analog language laboratory. Is the general language purpose equipment as the teacher can manage this office using the panel which is built in in a table of the teacher or by means of the computer. The special software which is included in the delivery is established on the computer of the teacher and reproduces graphical representation of a class on the monitor. Only one click of a mouse the teacher integrates students in pairs, groups, the management program for a class is connected for listening of work of the student, etc. Besides, allows to keep the magazine of a poseshchayemsta and progress of students.
Possibilities of an office
The digital/analog language laboratory provides:
- broadcast of one of four signal sources, in the mode "general", on everything (to 24) student places of a digital/analog language laboratory;
- broadcasting at the same time two signal sources on the class halved, in the mode "the general - separated", on everything (to 24) student places of a digital/analog language laboratory;
- broadcasting at the same time two signal sources on a class in the mode "programmable" on all student places of an analog language laboratory depending on to what channel the workplace of the pupil is connected;
- switching of jobs of an analog language laboratory in groups on two student places (the predeterminated groups - "steam rooms" the modes, casual groups - "accidental pairs" modes, pairs for choice – the "programmable" mode;
- connectivity of the teacher to any workplace in an analog language laboratory for control of the pupil (listening), or for correction of its work (dialog);
- record of work of any pupil in a digital/analog language laboratory on the hard drive of the computer of the teacher or on the tape recorder which is on a table of the teacher with a recording capability of the comment of the teacher on the current record;
- pronunciation of the studied material by pupils with self-listening;
- listening of the educational audioprogram from the tape recorder, the CD radio tape recorder on a table of the teacher or from an external signal source;
- display of the current mode of switching on the four-lower case matrix liquid crystal indicator on a table of the teacher in a digital/analog language laboratory;
- ability to manage switching using the personal computer on RS-232 channel.
Complete set of a language laboratory "Dialog-1"
Workplace of the teacher
- special table with the control panel a language class, the CD radio tape recorder and the tape recorder of Panasonic for broadcast of the general programs and record of the selected pupil.
The metal anti-vandal panel of the control panel a language class has a strong black powder covering and the hidden system of fastening.
Working information is output on the LCD display that considerably facilitates work with a language laboratory. Depending on functional purpose, the button on the panel of the teacher differ on color: green - work with the pupil, red - the choice of an operation mode and source selection of a signal.
- telephone and microphone headset
Workplace of the pupil
- the individual student's cabin closed from 3 parties (ahead glass);
Overall dimensions of a cabin of the pupil in a language laboratory of 730х580х1100 mm
- pupil's panel;
On the panel the call key of the teacher, the volume control and the connector for the headset are located. Overall dimensions of the control panel of 170х80 mm The panel of the pupil is easy-to-work, anti-vandal. The metal panel has a strong black powder covering, texts engraved.
- telephone and microphone headset
The telephone and microphone headset - rather inexpensive, optimized under problems of a language laboratory earphones with the microphone. In them the level of network aimings and noises is reduced. The convenient and reliable connector of the headset does not interfere with closing of the cover protecting the panel.
The software for management of a digital/analog language laboratory "DIALOG"
Purchasing a language laboratory "DIALOG", you receive the software developed by specialists of LINE company for management of stationary offices of the DIALOG series by means of the computer (the computer is not included in the delivery). Thus, the teacher will be able to manage an office, using a panel with buttons and obtaining information on operation modes on the LCD display, or to control work of a class by means of the interface of the program.
The software is established on the computer of the teacher and allows to integrate only one mouse click students in pairs, groups, to be connected for the hidden listening or discussion with the student of the current task. The program works in any of operating systems: Windows 9x, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows 2003.
The program opens additional opportunities - such as creation of a class, maintaining the magazine of attendance and exposure of estimates.
All students in a class are reflected in the monitor of a kopyyuter of the teacher special graphic icons with indication of surnames of pupils. During the work in groups, the color is appropriated to each of them. The pupils who are absent on occupation are designated by inactive gray icons for an exception of a possibility of wrong inclusion of such students in groups, pair, etc.
The software Dialog for stationary language laboratories of the DIALOG series allows:
- manage operation modes of the panel of the teacher, the choice of listening or dialog with pupils, record of pupils;
save the current document in the separate file;
- to quickly change the sizes and provision of jobs of pupils in an editing mode by means of a mouse;
- set new connections (listening by the pupil of channel A or B, work in pair) in the Programmable mode, preserving them in the file and loading of connections from in advance saved file;
- write the speech of pupils on the hard drive of the computer of the teacher;
- enter and change surnames of pupils and the teacher in the current document;
- enter additional graphic elements for descriptive reasons of class view;
- keep statistics of visit of occupations, browse it and put down marks to pupils;
- configure the interface of the program for the specific user;
- configure appearance of the toolbars and the menu at the request of the user.
Operation modes of a digital/analog language laboratory of "DIALOG-1"
General regimes
General regime All pupils are connected to the first input channel where the specific signal source is selected by source selection buttons. Only in this mode it is possible to use the pupil as a signal source if record is not included. In this case the pupil will listen to the second input channel, and all others - it. The teacher's panel in a language laboratory allows to make record of the pupil on the analog tape recorder.
The general - the separated Class mode is divided into two parts (even and odd jobs of pupils). The signal of the first input channel arrives on odd jobs of a language laboratory, and from the second - on even. The panel of the teacher allows to make record of the pupil on the analog tape recorder.
Pair modes
Mode pair 1-2
Couples of pupils in a language laboratory form from the neighboring places, i.e. 1+2, 3+4, etc.
Mode pair 1-3
Couples of pupils form in a language laboratory by the principle "through one", i.e. 1+3, 2+4, etc.
Accidental pairs
Couples of pupils in a language laboratory form under the accidental law, but within group of the first and second twelve pupils, i.e. the first pupil can be connected to any of group 1-12, and the thirteenth - to any of group 13-24. The pupil with number no more than 12 can be connected only to the pupil whose number also no more than 12. The same "principle of a denadtsata" extends to jobs from 13 to 24.
Group mode
"Fours"
Groups in a language laboratory form from 4 pupils by the principle 1+2+3+4, 5+6+7+8, etc. Pupils carry on a conversation among themselves in groups, the teacher can will be connected to group, having selected any pupil entering into this group.
The combined mode
"The mixed mode"
Pupils are separated into groups on 12 people, at the same time one group works in General the mode, and another in Pair. Pupils from the 1st on the 12th work in the Pair 1-2 mode, and pupils from the 13th on the 24th in the General mode also are connected to the first input channel.
Programmable mode
Pupils can work in this mode with the different input channels and also in pairs. Being in this operation mode of a language laboratory it is possible to change randomly the channel to which the pupil is connected and also to create pairs by "the principle of twelve" (as in the Accidental Pairs mode). When forming pairs, the pupil who was left without pair is automatically connected to the first input channel.
