2020: Sale of a penthouse in Singapore

On October 19, 2020 it became known that the creator of the Dyson vacuum cleaners James Dyson sold the penthouse in the highest skyscraper of Singapore. The British billionaire purchased it in 2019 for 74 million Singapore dollars, and sold 15% cheaper - for 62 million Singapore dollars.

The three-storyed penthouse with five bedrooms is located on upper floors of Tanjong Pagar Centre. The total area of apartments is about 2000 sq.m, the dwelling includes a garden, the pool, a jacuzzi and also the wine room. These apartments are considered as the most expensive in Singapore. In 2016 at delivery of a skyscraper the builder estimated it at 100 million Singapore dollars.

According to Reuters, the American magnate of the Indonesian origin Leo Koguan became the new owner of a penthouse. He is the chairman and the cofounder of SHI International IT company among which clients of company Boeing and At&T.

The billionaire transferred head office of the company to Singapore from Great Britain to be closer to its most fast-growing markets. In 2019 he refused plans for production of the electric vehicle in Singapore, including them commercially unprofitable.

From January till June, 2020 in 12 locations which are most demanded at billionaires carried out only 281 transactions with an expensive real estate, this indicator is twice less, than in the first half of the year 2019.[1]
