Customers: Sq.m farm

Agriculture and fishery

Contractors: Siltek
Product: Siltek: S-Tag RFID of a tag

Project date: 2020/02  - 2020/05

2020: Tracking of movement of animals

UHF RFID of a tag Siltek helped to provide the range of reading of eartabs 3 meters. It became known on September 24, 2020.

Ferma M2 (Shulgino LLC) is organic multi-profile economy at which disposal 4500 hectares of own laylands in Moscow area are for October, 2020. The company pays special attention to quality of the products, checking it at all production phases in the laboratories.

The Sq.m Farm company needed to provide tracking of movement and to automate object accounting of 3000 heads of animals in the farm for maintaining "the electronic passport of an animal". "The passport of an animal" is the electronic document containing all information on detention regime of an animal, significant parameters of an animal (for example, weight control) and also about veterinary and zootechnical transactions which were applied to it.

The RFID technology helps to consider a livestock in farm. The customer planned to use the big range of reading of identification marks in the work, and the LF technology which is historically applied in livestock production for this purpose does not approach. It was important to company to provide the range of reading of eartabs from distance to 3 meters and also to have a possibility of group identification. UHF RFID a label for marking of animals had to meet all veterinary and zootechnical standards and standards.

For the solution of this task Farm of Sq.m addressed to Siltek Group where the specialized tag on the basis of RFID UHF of S Tag 3D-A technology was developed .

The complexity of creation of a tag was that polyurethane which is the main material applied to eartabs by thermal parameters of firmness badly is combined with UHF RFID technology. Besides, the animal in itself is the object which is badly intended for use of UHF RFID technology. For the solution of this task engineers of Siltek Group developed the tag using an ear animal as the signal multiplier. So, on air the tag is read out from distance to 1 meter while on an ear of an animal from distance to 3 meters.

The label consists of the body and the core with UHF RFID inley. By Inlya of production of the Russian company Mikron it was specially developed under this body, and the body is manufactured of frost-resistant hypoallergenic polyurethane. The sequence number of a product which is used for number accounting and the customer's logo is applied on a label.

Having managed rather small investments (300 thousand rubles, without the equipment), the economy received the system of the automated accounting providing complete transparency and management of the livestock.

The project on creation and implementation of a RFID system was performed during the period from February to May, 2020. The software was developed by IT specialists of the company of the customer. For reading and information input in "the passport of an animal" the manual mobile UHF RFID readers Chainway C72 were purchased.

For October, 2020 information on all zootechnical and veterinary transactions are fixed in the system of the customer. It allows to trace completely lifecycle of an animal, to see a veterinary story with responsible persons, to estimate livestock unit charges, including expenses of forages and medicines, to quickly transfer livestock weight to the estimated economic effect. Time for inventory of a livestock was reduced, there was transparent responsibility of personnel.
