In Sergiyev Posad and Krasnogorsk the pilot project of an intelligent transport system is started

Customers: Center of Traffic Safety of the Moscow Region (CTSMR)

Contractors: MVS Group, Urbantekh
Product: Video analytics (projects)
На базе: Complex projects of video surveillance

Project date: 2020/03  - 2020/08

On October 22, 2020 MVS Group and Urbantekh Group provided the first results of work of the pilot project of the intelligent transport systems (ITS) which is carried out in two cities of Moscow area together with the transport authorities of Moscow area.

Within the pilot in July the automated control system for traffic (ACST) which covered 13 sections of roads with a total length of 65 km in Sergiyev Posad and 7 sections (34 km) in Krasnogorsk was started. According to the results of the first months of the pilot average daily transit time on these sections was reduced by 9% and 11.9% at increase in intensity of the movement by 19% and 13.1% respectively. In peak hours reduction of transit time reached 20%.

The data received by ITS from peripheral devices and external modules allow not only to estimate and improve a road situation, but also to perform transport planning in the region including regarding determination of necessary investment volume into development of road infrastructure. It is important to note that projects are implemented without capital costs of reorganization of the existing road network,

Equipment installation for ASUDD began in May – on streets of two cities situated near Moscow detectors of transport, teleoverview cameras, and traffic analyzers appeared. The equipment which is earlier installed in the cities was also connected to a system: controllers of control of traffic lights, photovideo fixing complexes.

A system in real time aggregates data from devices and creates a picture of a road situation, tracing the speed and intensity of traffic flows, defining traffic routes taking into account a day of the week and time of day. On the basis of the analysis of data retrieveds operation modes of traffic lights were corrected. Operators of a system had an opportunity in real time to monitor a road situation, and if necessary to adjust operation of traffic lights for elimination of jams and also to perform a call of police, ambulance, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and road services at emergence of emergency situations.

System core – the intellectual integration platform of own development. This software solution which allows to integrate different devices and separate software modules in a single network, thanks to what the flexibility and scalability of a system under needs of each city or region is reached.

It is provided with multicomponent system architecture which includes a set of modules for automation of different functions, for example, of ASUDD, transport planning, control of passenger transport, creation of "the digital double" of a street road network, automatic identification of road incidents. Depending on transport problems of the region a system can be provided by different combinations of modules.

Thus the following functionality is implemented: management of traffic, response to road accident and emergency, management of parking space, control of public transport, forecasting of a transport situation, administration of transport offenses.
