2020: Start of production of the Russia's first system for transportation of viruses

In October, 2020 it became known of the preparing beginning of production of the Russia's first uniform line of the virus and microbiological transport systems. The Ham company implements this project based on technopark of Mosmedark. The monthly release of 1.5 million copies of such products is planned.

The product represents the sterile set containing the test tube with the transport environment for viruses which is hermetically corked by a screw cap, and two the probe tampon — devices for selection of test for transportation. One probe tampon nasal, and another — universal can be also used as the complete solution for sampling for the purpose of diagnostics of COVID-19.

Production of the Russia's first system for transportation of viruses from Ham company begins

The transport systems are compatible to domestic sets for selection and amplification, including isothermal amplification and techniques of express selection. In total six product modifications which will be delivered as in the Russian state clinics, and abroad are planned. The project investment cost is estimated at 100 million rubles, more than a half of this amount (60 million rubles) were provided by Fund of development of the industry in the form of a concessional loan.

Earlier in 2020 Gem on the production site of Poliham LLC began production of the Russian Federation's first transport systems with Wednesday for viruses which including is suitable for work with COVID-19. Solutions are presented in execution option with the probe from viscose and nylon. The producer was going to satisfy need of the country for volume to 0.5 million test tubes a month.

In 2021 Gem is going to increase production to several million pieces a month due to release of the transport systems with microbiological environments, and since 2022 – systems for the pharmaceutical and food industry, up to only 11 types of medical products for bacteria, protozoa and mushrooms.[1]
