Evraz reduced reporting time using SAP

2020: Creation of reporting system of Evraz Reporting System 2.0

On October 26, 2020 SAP CIS reported that EVRAZ completed the main stage of creation of a single system of the reporting of EVRAZ Reporting System 2.0 based on SAP solutions. This IT tool will allow the company to prepare quickly the detailed reporting of production divisions for each of divisions and also to receive the monthly consolidated management reporting and the reporting under IFRS in shorter terms. Implementation of ERS already allowed to reduce formation of the management reporting by 8 working days.

To system implementation for preparation of the reporting data from a large number of separate sources were used. The purposes of creation of a system based on SAP products – to reduce reporting terms, to increase quality and availability of analytical information, and together with it and efficiency of the made management decisions.

From the technical point of view a system is constructed on several components. Based on SAP BW on HANA storage there is collecting, transformation and consolidation of data. Formation and visualization of the reporting are performed using SAP solutions for a business intelligence. During the project terms of preparation of the reporting under IFRS accelerated, besides, the management reporting of divisions of the company was built in a single stream with IFRS. Data on a considerable part of the Russian companies of group are collected automatically, without manual forms of data collection now. The company refers to project deliverables also increase in processing speed of ad-hoc of requests and decrease in labor costs at preparation of the reporting.

The single system of the reporting of EVRAZ implemented using SAP solutions allows the staff of the company to save time for routine transactions, to pay more attention and resources to data analysis and a business partnership, - Nikolay Ivanov, the vice president of EVRAZ for finance commented.

Thanks to this system EVRAZ had a uniform version of the financial truth based on data on operating activities. It is a serious and important step to transformation of all financial function. The company reached the object set on start of the project.
