2020: Creation of Integral-D - the program for control of satellites

On October 27, 2020 the Fund of perspective researches announced creation of the management program for hundreds of satellites in an orbit. The project under the name "Integral-D" is implemented together with the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT).

It is about the first Russian software package for design of the multisatellite space systems. By the end of October, 2020 it is already tested.

Within the Integral-D project the solution allowing to calculate dynamics of multisatellite groupings, accomplishment by them of target tasks and the mathematical description of functioning of the spacecrafts which are a part of groupings is developed. Also lines of optimization methods and multiple calculations are developed for decision support at design of the perspective multisatellite systems.

Russia develops the management program for hundreds of satellites in an orbit

It is going to complete project works in 2022. After that, as expected, the software will receive an expanded set of functions which will allow to project the groupings consisting of several thousand spacecrafts.

It is said in the statement of Fund of perspective researches that the calculations which are carried out when testing allowed to solve a number of applied problems of modeling of the mixed groupings consisting of spacecrafts of remote sensing of Earth and communication including optimization of parameters of management for the perspective systems of optical monitoring of near-earth space.

The functionality of a software package implemented at the first stage of the project allows to find the optimal solutions unattainable at design using expert and analytical approaches. It allows to exclude adoption of wrong solutions and afterwards considerably to reduce costs during creation and application of the multisatellite systems and complexes — the deputy manager of the direction of physics and technology researches Fonda of perspective researches Boris Satovsky noted.[1]
