2020: Start service

At the end of October, 2020 Google started own VPN service VPN by Google One. Clients of a cloud service who purchased Google One subscription to 2 TB for $9.99 a month will be able to use it. According to Google, VPN service will cipher and anonymize Internet traffic, protecting all data on viewings from public eyes. Besides, the Internet activity of VPN will not be attached to the identity of the user.

VPN hides online activity of the user and adds the additional security level and confidentiality when using the Internet. Many companies offer various VPN services, but services of a premium class which are usually included in payment model on a subscription are considered as the best.

Google started free VPN service

Within Google One the service of the ciphered Internet connection is free. It is still possible to be connected to VPN only in the USA on Android devices. Google promises to include this function on iOS, Windows and Mac in the nearest future. It is possible to include in a subscription of Google One to five family members (to each relative own space will be selected) and to pay it for joint account. Now users will be able to share also service VPN.

Google explained that the company will not use VPN connection for "tracking, registration or sale of your activity on the Internet" and that nobody can use VPN for a binding of the identity of the user to his online activity.[1]
