2020: Creation of the virtual class Glassroom

On October 27, 2020 the SKOLKOVO business school and Samsung Electronics announced long-term cooperation on technology development of business education in Russia. This first technology partnership of SKOLKOVO business school.

Creation of the virtual class Glassroom required 27 large-format panels of Samsung with a diagonal of 55 inches united in the uniform semicircular display with joints less than 2 mm. On the screen about 80 images of participants of a meeting (a conference, a lecture, a seminar), lecture materials (diagrams, video, a photo, other useful information from teachers), projects and the performed tasks of students can be shown during the virtual session.

Glassroom

Glassroom is designed so that to save live interactive contact of professor with participants of lectures. Listeners receive a feedback from the teacher in real time and can communicate among themselves in a chat or by voice, previously having raised a hand, as in normal audience. The lecturer who is in the premises from different points is photographed by 2 video cameras with automatic tracking of movements for convenience of viewing. Interactive flipchart Samsung Flip allows the teacher to draw schemes, diagrams and to do texts directly on the screen, as on a board that virtual interaction brings closer to real. Besides, in a class computers, necessary light and acoustics are placed. The control interface of Glassroom is created based on software of Mashme, technology for the organization of educational process in virtual classes. It allows to take votes, to edit documents and to give classes for several user groups.

In addition to Glassroom Samsung within partnership with SKOLKOVO will equip audiences of business school Galaxy Tab S7 tablets + based on OC Android with the subsequent annual updating of all park of the provided devices within 3 years. Tablets have the increased SuperAMOLED-screen ought processor updated an electronic feather of SPen and are delivered together with covers-keyboards.

Gadgets will be used by listeners of corporate programs for preparation of the presentations, works with LMS and within other academic activities. With their help pupils will be able to be connected to a personal account, to broadcast the presentations on the big screen before fellow students and also to take tests and control tests. Tablets are well integrated with web applications of business school and are suitable for the software of Mashme. Having received devices on all school day, at the end of occupations students will leave them in audience.
