Telecom operator Russian Company built a data center to lease its capacity

The launch of the first stage of the data center, which includes a hall with 32 racks, is scheduled for September 1, 2025. The company's specialists test the installed equipment before starting commercial operation of the facility.

The second phase of construction with the remaining 30 racks will be commissioned on July 1, 2026. The phased commissioning of capacities will allow the company to gradually increase its customer base and optimize operating costs.

At the initial stage, the Russian Company plans to use part of the data center's capacity for its own needs. Internal tasks include the development of the operator business and the provision of communication services to existing subscribers.

Most of the equipment is for commercial purposes and generating additional revenue. Customers will be offered rack rental, virtual capacity and information storage services in a secure environment.

Representatives of the Russian Company described the facility as a commercial Edge data center with a distributed data storage system. The infrastructure ensures the presence of all carriers without restrictions for the necessary protection of communication channels.

The technical solution guarantees continuity of operation in case of failure of the main data transmission channel. A backup system is critical to keep the hosted customer equipment running smoothly.[1]
