Rostelecom will construct data center in Yakutia

On November 12, 2020 the Agency of the Far East on the investment attraction and support of export (ANO API) announced the project on construction of a data processing center in Yakutsk. The local government signed the relevant contract with Rostelecom.

Until the end of November, 2020 it is going to complete design of DPC which total area will be 818 sq.m. Investments into the project are estimated at 2.6 billion rubles.

According to the director of the Agency on the investment attraction and support of export of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic Kondrashin Alexander, an optimal variant of project implementation is creation of DPC using the concession mechanism provided by the Federal law "About Concessionary Agreements" by attraction of the off-budget investments and competences in the project.

The specified model of project implementation includes all complex of works and provision of services, including design, creation, maintenance and operation of an object that significantly reduces project deadlines and increases its quality. The project is included in the National program of social and economic development of the Far East, its implementation will urge on development of IT in the Sakha Republic, being a regional leader in this sphere — he told.

Earlier in Yakutia the DPC of the electronic regional government which became the technology platform under placement more than 700 information systems and resources of public authorities of Yakutia and also their subordinated organizations was started.

The new data processing center in Yakutsk which is completely conforming to requirements of the federal legislation in the field of IT, data protection can become reference DPC in the Far East and in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. At capacities of new DPC all state information systems of Yakutia will be placed.^[1]
