SVFU started own digital platform of training in a cloud of MTS

2020: Start of the digital platform of training in a cloud

PJSC MTS, the Russian company on providing digital, media and telecommunication services, announced on November 18, 2020 connection of the Northeast federal university of M.K. Ammosov to a cloud platform of MTS. On the basis of a cloud#CloudMTS educational process is organized: the student's portal with a personal account for each pupil is created and also the receiving campaign for entrants is waged.

Thanks to a cloud platform of MTS students of SVFU which for November, 2020 about 18 thousand, have the round-the-clock access to personal account where they can attend lectures online, receive, execute and send tasks, pass tests. SVFU organized the receiving campaign of 2020 and implemented using a cloud#CloudMTS. The university started own information system "Personal Account of the Entrant" in a cloud. It allows irrespective of the region or the country from any device to load all necessary documents and also to pass entrance tests with a proktoring.

Cloud computing allows university to cope with the raised loads of the student's portal, especially during a receiving campaign. Within the project use of backup for data storage reliability augmentation is provided. In October using a cloud platform of provider the International Olympic Games of school students Tuymaada-2020 and the All-Russian student's Olympic Games on mathematics 2020 (VSOM-2020) were organized in an online format.

We will expand further use of opportunities of a cloud platform#CloudMTS which proved the reliability during the receiving campaign and examination. We were convinced of it during the receiving campaign-2020. Use of a cloud service of MTS was also excellent help for the organization of the subject Olympic Games of the international level, – the vice rector for digital development of SVFU Pyotr Ivanov noted.

Usual formats of communications and work, including in the educational sphere, undergo changes. It is important to educational institutions to implement practicians and technologies for the continuity of the training activity. We are ready to submit to the clients cloud services within a short time and we guarantee uninterrupted operation of 24/7 work, – the director of cloud business of MTS Oleg Motovilov noted.
