2020: Automating the formation of a personalized insurance program

On November 24, 2020, Technoserv Consulting announced that they, together with Otkritie Bank, implemented a project to automate the process of forming a personalized insurance program when issuing cash loans. This solution allows the bank to apply an individual approach to each client. In September-November, this logic of forming an insurance program showed high efficiency. Now the client independently forms the optimal package of services, corresponding to its needs and capabilities.

The insurance "designer" has become part of the specialized system of comprehensive customer service of the bank ─ the Credit Configurator. It allows you to create products that are formed individually, and flexible pricing is provided in the sales process.

Previously, insurance was "whole" products and when issuing a loan, the client was offered a choice between ready-made sets of services. Now, thanks to the "designer," each client will be able to connect additional insurance options to the main package at will or, conversely, exclude them. At the same time, the system will select the general list of available options on its own based on its data.

Part of the additional services can be issued only together with the basic package of insurance products, and part - separately. In addition, the total cost of a personalized package and the options for connecting free services - for example, legal assistance or telemedicine - depend on the choice of insurance options. If additional options are issued in conjunction with the basic insurance package, their cost will be reduced.

Insurance Designer is not the only revision of the Credit Configurator system for Otkritie Bank by Technoserv Consulting. The bank plans to use the In-Memory Data Grid (IMDG) distributed storage system for user sessions on the principle of high availability and scalability by distributing data between several computers. This means that the network flow of one user session will be able to be transmitted and processed by any of the servers of the Credit Configurator, which will increase the fault tolerance of the system, "explains Oleg Zaitsevsky, senior vice president, director of the IT development department of Otkritie Bank.
