History

2020: ForestTech Accelerator start

"The Angara Wood-processing Complex" (PLPK) with assistance of Global Venture Alliance (GVA) starts ForestTech Accelerator designed to find and implement advanced technologies in process of production and processing of the wood at all its stages. It became known on November 25, 2020.

Startups will have an opportunity to receive full examination of the solution in application to the industry, to adapt it for the specific business customer in large enterprise, to start a pilot project on the test platform and further to turn into full scaling of the technology. Piloting of startups will take place on a paid basis, with full support of an accelerator.

Russia is one of world leaders in stocks of forest resources, to volumes of logging and export of wood. However and many enterprises of the industry continue to use physically and obsolete technologies and the equipment, including, with a high share of manual work and poor performance. Need of transition of domestic LPK from raw model to technology – one of key tasks on the way to leadership of Russia in the world market and to increase in a share of products with high value added.

The ForestTech Accelerator program will work with a big pool of the industrial partners needing automation and digitalization of process, accounting, planning and many other aspects of production.

Experts of Global Venture Alliance conducted a research of the innovation requests on a number of LPK and, having communicated to key staff, revealed a number of zones in which a solution startup can bring the greatest benefit to both the enterprise, and workers.

According to the results of a research, in the first set of an accelerator startups in 6 directions are invited:

• Accounting and resource management of the enterprise
• HR-Tech
• New products and business models
• Repairs and upgrade
• Marketing and sales
• Other industry technologies

Within the acceleration program with startups professional coaches / trackers, experts of the industry of LPK, business customers will work at the enterprises, the innovation managers − only more than 50 people. This program can become point of entry in one of the largest industries of the country for scaling of the technologies.

Organizers of the program guarantee practical benefits for all startups which passed a stage of order taking which will begin on November 16 and will last till December 27, 2020.
